MEET THE DOCTORS
Dr. Chris Miller and Dr. Matt Miller are identical twin brothers who have spent more than three decades together in dentistry. Along with the rest of the team at Miller & Miller, D.D.S., they are working daily to transform smiles and give patients superior care.
Dr. Matt and Dr. Chris are 1980 graduates of the University of Kansas, both with B.A. degrees in Human Biology. They attended Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas and received their Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degrees in 1984. Both doctors are active members of, and have held leadership positions in, the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the Dallas County Dental Society, the Southwest Academy of Restorative Dentistry, the International College of Dentists, and the Academy of General Dentistry. They are also alumni of the prestigious L.D. Pankey Institute. Dr. Chris and Dr. Matt have served patients in the Plano area since 1986.
The Millers are passionate about making a difference in people’s lives, and they just can’t leave their work at the office!
Dr. Chris and Dr. Matt volunteer with Christina’s Smile, a non-profit organization that provides free dental care to children in need. Christina’s Smile operates in conjunction with the PGA Tour and Champions Tour to provide dental exams and procedures to children who cannot afford them in the communities that host a PGA or Champions Tour.
The Millers also work with an organization known as the Lost Boys of Sudan. In 2001, the International Rescue Committee rescued 3,800 “Lost Boys” (named after the Peter Pan movie) from Sudan and placed them in approximately 100 cities around the US. Before being brought to the United States, these young men were forced to flee from their native Sudan at a very young age, many between six-and eleven-years-old, and walk hundreds of miles in an attempt to survive the civil war in Sudan. Many of these young men had five or six of their bottom front teeth extracted in tribal ceremonies, and they are now struggling to eat American food and speak English properly. Through the volunteer work of dentists like Dr. Chris and Dr. Matt, the Lost Boys of Sudan are receiving replacement teeth and enjoying new smiles.
