At Miller & Miller, your comfort is our priority. We offer pillows, blankets, and audio headphones to help you relax during dental visits. Choose from several sedation options to make your dentistry experience stress-free and rewarding.
Laughing Gas
Nitrous oxide, commonly known as “laughing gas,” is one of the most common forms of sedation dentistry. Administered through a small facemask, nitrous oxide will help you relax during your procedures. We will also administer local anesthesia to the area in which your procedure will be performed.
Oral Conscious Sedation
If you tend to be nervous or fearful about dental work, have a sensitive gag reflex, and/or have difficulty becoming numb after local anesthesia is administered, be sure to ask Dr. Chris or Dr. Matt about oral conscious sedation. We will give you a pill to take just before you come into the office for your procedure. You must have someone drive you to and from your visit due to the sedative effect the medication will have. Laughing gas may also be administered just before your procedure. Dr. Chris and Dr. Matt are certified conscious sedation dentists through the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.
Intravenous Medication
Should you elect to have a procedure that requires complete sedation, we will bring a certified anesthesiologist to our Plano office to administer your intravenous medication. The anesthesiologist will stay through the entirety of your procedure to monitor your vital signs and the amount of medication you receive. Your safety and wellbeing are always our first priorities.
