At Miller & Miller, we love kids, and we pride ourselves on being a family dental office. Just like adults, kids need to visit the dentist twice a year for a comprehensive checkup. Our team will be gentle and caring to help your child feel comfortable in our Plano dentist's office. We'll check for developmental issues, tooth decay, gingivitis, and other issues. By the time a child enters school, he may be ready for hygiene visits, as well.

To help children keep their young teeth healthy and cavity-tree, Dr. Matt and Dr. Chris often recommend dental sealants. These protective coatings are applied to hard-to-brush molars to reduce the risk of tooth decay. We will clean the area, paint on the sealant, and cure it with a light. Dental sealants are recognized by the ADA as a means of cavity protection.

Additionally, we offer fluoride treatments, which strengthen tooth enamel and help to ward off cavities. Fluoride attracts other minerals that strengthen tooth enamel. Your local water supply and many dental health products contain fluoride. However, bottled water usually doesn't. Our new supplemental fluoride treatments are simple, flavored mouth rinses that only take a moment to provide lasting benefits.

If your children participate in sports, we can create a custom mouthguard to protect their teeth from injury during the game. Even adult patients benefit from a custom-molded mouthguard. Oral injuries are common for athletes, so we want to help you protect your smile!
